How long does forklift licence/certification last?
Once training has been completed FLT operators should receive credentials, demonstrating that they have successfully completed basic training on the specified category of forklift truck and these will often specify a date by which refresher training should be undertaken.
Typically this will be around 3-5 years, when it will be advised to undertake refreshers training to ensure they’re still competent. If you’ve been involved in an accident whilst operating a forklift then it’s advised to undertake training again.
